Thank you, God, for all that you provided through the audience, performers, volunteers, and sponsors!

From talking with many of you all, we’re so glad to know that Nov. 5th’s event was a great experience. We want to thank you all for coming and supporting. Performers, you all were amazing and we could not have done this without you. What a great group to talk with and watch!

There are really so many people to thank for encouraging and helping pull this together…and know that we are very grateful for all that was given!

So the official total raised at the event is… $6929.56! And with the last additional gifts, donations at the event, and sponsor donations, $8,729.56. So the grand total after our matching donor would come to an astounding $15, 729.56!

This is far above we had ever dreamed of…and God has really provided for His children. Our original goal was to provide for the 700+ children there with uniforms but we now (after being informed that PCM now takes care of 1000 orphans!) have enough to give at least 1000 uniforms/clothes and additional resources to their ministry. With joy, we thank you and thank Him! With or without the end result, we personally enjoyed the challenge and journey.

What started in Parental Care Ministries and sparking in us a mere thought, grew by God’s hand into something that blew us away!

Thanks for all many of you do for PCM to serve children and siblings across the globe!

Thank you everyone who have volunteered, encouraged, and spread the word about tonight. This evening at 6:30 we hope for the best for PCM and Tyler. Please pray for guidance in the last hours, safety, enjoyment, and a time we will dedicate to God.

So, many of you maybe heard that Pastor Emmy and the PCM team are back in the US making their way to Tyler!

Thanks so much for everyone’s encouragement on this project and for PCM.
A few things:

PERFORMERS!
Get pumped and ready to perform this Saturday the 5th at the Burgess Auditorium! We need to know for sure what you are singing/performing, additional props, and any corrections on personal info. Be in the band hall by 3:30 pm on Saturday unless we contact you otherwise.

AUDIENCE!
It is up to you to decide who will win the first three places! Cheer, encourage your friends and all who are performing, and vote. There will be a vote by dropping money/bills into buckets at the end of each performance.

VOLUNTEERS!
We really need your help! If you know anyone who would love to volunteer for this community service event or has nothing to do this Sat., tell them to contact us at tylertalent@gmail.com. We need people to help with setting up, passing buckets around, and helping the show run smoothly.

Due to some requests, we would like to amend and change a few rules to accommodate privacy issues and time limits.

Putting on a talent show is never easy, so we want to take this time to thank our God and our friends for all the help we have had. With a project that began several months ago and culminating into the fall, it certainly has been a crazy ride full of disappointment but most of all excitement!

Thanks to our sponsors Express Personnel and Southside Bank. Their sponsorship makes this show possible, allowing all proceeds from donations, tickets, and performers to go towards Parental Care Ministries. 

Another big thank you to the local businesses who have supported this endeavor by putting up posters, spreading the word, and just giving encouragement (Our local schools, Mundt Music, American Band, Centerstage Music, Orange Leaf, TCBY)! 

As we approach our showtime on November 5th, we hope that you all also take time to learn more about Parental Care Ministries and their work. In many ways, some of goals have been met, as someone informed me. We wanted to spread the excitement of PCM’s work overseas as well as bring together the Tyler community to celebrate, to dedicate a night toward someone else. And we see that in so many people around us. Thanks for all you do! 

As many ask, what can one person do? What difference will one make? What may happen because of our actions? We ask ourselves these questions as we hope for providing comfort and peace to everyone around us, across the world and here in Tyler.

Good morning and welcome to this how-to!

So many people have had some questions about the when and where and how’s of this talent show!

First off, we are looking for all sort of talent. It will be a fun night of watching people around Tyler (many of whom you may know) perform a wide range of talent all as a community. We are really praying that this will be a success. As we said before, it has been a long process of deciding and praying…and we are ready to do whatever it takes in order to have a great time while doing this for others.

So use this step-by-step guide to submitting your act, hopefully by October 18th!

1) Decide on your talent, your song, your choreography, etc. Or dust off a performance from the past that you would like to share.

2)Record your act. Our main concern is that you are able to perform for a family-friendly audience.

3) Go to YouTube. To submit a video, you may have to set up an account which only requires some information like an email address.

4)Send us the link at tylertalent@gmail.com
